Certificate III in Electrical Fitting

The Certificate III in Electrical Fitting is a Trade-level qualification which provides the knowledge and skills to repair, maintain, assemble, and install electrical plant and machinery.

This course can only be undertaken:

Under a formal contract of training – apprenticeship, or
As part of an upgrading from currently held Electrical mechanic licence  to have Fitter-Mechanic listed on a QLD licence – ESO Training Permit required, or
As an Exit point/Transfer from a current UEE30820 course undertaking

Completed through an apprenticeship, this qualification covers the application of solving problems in electrical equipment while identifying and following work and occupational health and safety regulations and codes of practices in the electrotechnology workplace.Solve problems in single and multiple path circuits, low voltage a.c. circuits, direct current (d.c.) machines, and magnetic and electromagnetic devices.Determine, interpret and use drawings, diagrams and schedules to undertake work tasks.Dismantle, tag, assemble, fabricate and quality check utilities industry components.Safely test and connect alternating current (a.c.) rotating machines and transformers.Apply sustainable work practices through energy assessments and improvements to minimise energy and reduce material waste.Possible Employment Pathways:
