Short courses

Units of competency

A unit of competency links to an industry need or regulatory requirement. By designing these units of competency into the course or qualification, you will finish your qualification with a nationally recognised level of proficiency in your chosen trade or field.

Skill sets

At Australian Trade Training College we have designed a suite of skill sets to enhance courses and to provide certification for specific workplace skills. Our Skill sets are made up of one or more ‘units of competency’, which link to an industry need or regulatory requirement, such as a licence. When you complete a skill set course, you receive a statement of attainment. In some cases this may count towards a higher qualification with further study.
