Offshore Skills Assessment Program (OSAP)

The Offshore Skills Assessment Program (OSAP) is for applicants applying for a skilled migration visa (excluding 485 or TSS visas).

It is compulsory for applicants from the nominated countries, Special Administrative Regions (SARs) and occupations listed in the table on TRA’s website. It is also compulsory for applicants in the licensed occupations (Airconditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic, Electrician (General), Electrician (Special Class), Plumber (General)) regardless of their country of origin.

The aims of this program is to ensure successful applicants can contribute immediately to Australia’s skilled workforce.

OSAP Pathways:

Pathway 1 – For applicants who do not have a relevant Australian VET qualification.

Pathway 2 – For applicants who have a relevant Australian VET qualification or a current, identified Australian occupational licence.
